A storybook built for racing

Each track comes alive as a pop-up book: a daisy meadow, the Bosphorus at night, a frozen pass and a writing desk. Pick one of eight racers and face seven computer-controlled rivals. Compete in a four-race championship, try an individual track or beat your best time.

How to drive

  • On desktop, steer with the arrow keys or WASD. Space or Shift drifts; X or E uses an item; C looks back; Esc or P pauses; M toggles sound. Gamepads are supported. On mobile, use the onscreen steering, accelerator, brake and item buttons.
  • Four storybook circuitsRace through a daisy meadow, the Bosphorus after dark, a glacier pass and a writing desk as a pop-up world unfolds around you.
  • Eight colorful driversChoose the fox, frog, penguin, bear, cat, owl, rabbit or octopus. Each driver handles and accelerates differently.
  • Race for the cup or the clockEarn points across four championship races, pick any track for a single race or challenge your own best run in time trials.

Modes and racing tricks

Drift for a speed boost

Hold a drift through corners to build speed boosts. Take advantage of ramps and boost pads, and catch a slipstream behind other racers.

Items can turn the race

Collect and unleash paper planes, ink and other inventive items. Using one at the right moment can change the standings.

Play your way

Use a keyboard, gamepad or touch controls. Graphics quality, automatic acceleration and reduced camera motion can be adjusted in Settings.

Frequently asked questions

Can I race against other people online?

No. You race against computer-controlled opponents. There is no multiplayer mode or online leaderboard.

Are my best times saved?

Yes. Time-trial results are saved in this browser, and you can race against a replay of your previous best lap.

Does the game work on phones?

Yes. Onscreen controls work in portrait and landscape. Landscape gives you a wider view of the track.
